The '05 GT's have been and always will be in short supply. Ford either underestimated the demand, or simply could not build enough V8's to meet the demand because of EPA regulations etc.
Anyway, I don't think there will ever be a day when they are easy to get. People will make fun of me for saying this, but the '05 GT's will be collector cars.
You will be hard pressed to find a "good deal" on one.

17" Bullits, NO interior upgrade package (not worth it, in my opinion)

I can sell mine with 10k on it for more than I purchased it right now. Mine is a premium Charcoal/Red leather interior with everything but the Shaker 1000 and the driver door airbag. I ordered it new in Oct. 04 and got it April 05 for a whopping 26.3K
