Lovin the 3D500 Spoiler
#71
Went on vacation last week and my car was in the shop getting some body work done on the front fender and rear quarter, so I figured I would just have them swap my spoiler and decklid panel while they had it. Decklid panel went on easy, but when he went to put the new spoiler on he said the mounting holes arent the same. said the 3d500 spoiler doesnt come up far enough on the decklid and 2 of the mounting holes are exposed, and would have to be filled and painted. That blows! I'm not trying to get into bodywork to get this thing done. Thought it would just swap out with no problems. I guess it's only a direct swap out if you have the regular spoiler. I guess I'll be keeping the pedestal on...

Aww man, I was ready to pull the trigger on this one myself with CJ Pony, but I have a pedestal spoiler as well. Thought it was a simple mode I could do myself, time to rethink. Sorry HOTROD... big disappointment.

Didn't think of that...

FYI ...
CJ Pony Parts has the painted 3D500 Spoiler on sale again for $247 painted and shipped. The Gurney Flap is painted black when purchased from CJ Pony.
I just ordered one ....

What's strange is that it was $255 when I checked out.
When they sent me my final invoice it says it was $247 ....

I figured out the problem for you guys ...
For some reason Sunset Gold is $50 cheaper than the other colors ...
Maybe that means they have a spare one sitting on the shelf they want to get rid of and it will ship faster!
