It allows you to see out the side windows so there are no blind spots. I have been using one in all my cars since the early 70s I feel blind without it.

Thanks. It is a GT500 wheel from 2007/9. Swapped the wiring from the base model 2010 wheel and it went right on.

Awesome I gotta look into making that switch, where did you get that gt500 wheel without all the other buttons?

I like the sterling grey of the choices you mentioned. But I also like the yellow as well. Looks awesome in person...not so hot in the pictures Ford has out

The older GT500 [07/09] didn't have any other buttons. They only added the radio buttons to the wheel in 2010.

I like the yellow SRT-8 Challengers. I haven't seen yellow on the 2011's. Is it that gold color from the 10's?

I looked at a black 2011 when I was shopping. The deciding factor for me not getting it wasnt that its hard to keep clean, my previous car was black. But, I did get spoiled by it - the windows could be rolled down by holding the unlock button on the keyless entry fob. If the Mustang had that feature I would have gotten black. Instead I went with Kona blue. You really need to see the car in person to get a better idea of the color. Sterling grey is a good color, much better than Ingot silver IMO, but Kona blue FTW.
