Default Hiding the mufflers

Hey all, so I don't know about you guys but personally I hated the stock look where the mufflers were hanging a little below the rear end, just looked absolutely fugly IMO. I thought I had solved everything, I installed the Borla Touring axlebacks and voila, the mufflers couldn't be seen anymore.

Unfortunately, the original touring mufflers were droney as hell so I contacted Borla and they were already investigating the issue because it had become a common complaint for the Touring system. Borla immediately sent me a pair of redesigned Touring mufflers to try out (pat on the back for Borla's amazing customer service) and I have them installed now...sound is great....drone is gone...but because of the tips getting repositioned, I now see a couple inches of ugly muffler hanging down below the rear diffuser.

Do you guys have any good advice on how to deal with this?

The only thoughts I have are:
  1. raise the muffler w/o changing the tip's spatial envelope (not likely)
  2. lower the existing rear valance (aftermarket add on?)
  3. replacement, lower rear bumper
  4. big friggin' hammer
  5. another set of axlebacks

Muffler deletes are about the only way to avoid it.....or the stingers those work.

Great to hear that the various forms of paint ended up working well for you guys! That's what I was considering but wasn't sure how well it would work or whether it was suggestable. I'm currently in contact with Borla giving feedback on their replacement system so we'll see what happens
