V6 True Dual Exhaust
Kind of a new person to the Forums. I am wondering about exhaust for a 2010 Mustang to convert to true dual exhaust. will a Doug's shorty x-pipe work to covert to dual? Or what year car can i pick up and exhaust kit from to work for true dual? I saw the kit on New Take Off for the 2005-2009 but wasn't sure it would work on mine.

I got the Pypes X-Pipe from American Muscle, the left Over the Axle pipe from Ford and 2 2010 GT takeoffs from Ebay, the 2005-09 GT take offs have shorter tips and will not come out from under the valance and they are 3 inch over the 2010's which are 4 inch.
The 2005-09 GT's on my car
The 2010's
I also got the GT500 Rear Valance from Ford.

So the 2010 GT Mufflers would be the way to go then. How do they sound on our car? How much did the valence and left over pipe cost from ford? With the 05-09 mufflers does it make a different with them not coming out as far?

GT500 Lower Valance was $122 (lists for $150), $89 for the left pipe (lists for $113). I do have access to a Commercial account at 1 of our local Ford dealers though.
$40 for a set of GT500 Mufflers is a good price.

I looked for the receipt and could not find it , but you need to order the left GT over the axle pipe, the right side is the same on both.
Also you will need the 2 hangers for the left muffler, I thing AM has the Stack Racing set for around 45 or 50 bucks and a 2.5 inch band clamp, it was $13 at my local NAPA store.
