Default Recall on 2013 V6

This is to Reprogram the powertrain control module.
This is to remedy a safety or emissions related concern.
You can check here to see if your car is being recalled
http://owner.ford.com/servlet/Conten...ge/RecallsPage
My mustang is put away until at least April.
I will take it in when it is back on the road.
Do not forget to return to stock!

Don't you mean "Don't forget to be a wuss..."?

Only if your dealership's service department folks are azzholes and you don't have the stomach to stand toe-to-toe with them. Be sure to wear the NICE panties. ESPECIALLY since you're taking it in for the recall work and not for a powertrain problem.

When my '07 was under warranty, it was in the shop about 4 times for warranty and TSB work and I never returned it to stock. They even commented positively about the Steeda CAI and KNEW that it required a tune.

They are going to reprogram my PCM, yes I will be returning to stock.
No I am not a wuss, I have had it in for oil changes and did not return to stock.
This is different.
Would this change anything with my Bama tunes after PCM is reprogramed?
BTW the wife works near the dealership and
She will be taking the car in and will be wearing her VERY SEXY panties!
her nice panties!!

On a good day it is a 45 min. drive to the dealership, it makes no sense to take two vehicles. I even let my son drive it, but only when I am with him!

I absentmindedly was thinking they were reprogramming the RCM (Restraint Control Module) which was a major recall on the earlier 05's thru whatever. In the case of reprogramming the PCM, I'd be asking if they'll be changing the strategy code. Id so, you could have issues reloading your custom tune.

The only recall I found on the NHTSA website is an issue with the shifter when it's put in reverse, it might not turn on the back up lights and on some vehicles might not show Reverse on a dashboard indicator. Doesn't seem to have anything to do with engine power or shift points in the transmission.

For the most part I think this recall is for 2013 v6 mustangs.
mmdpg in my original post there is a link to a ford website to check for recalls.
Just enter your vin. and it will tell you if there is any recalls for your vehicle.
