Engine clicking.
Hey guys, I need some tech advice here. I'm already taking the car into the dealership for inspection and possible repair under warranty. It's intermittent and gets louder as the engine warms up, however, it's not loud enough to be heard if the bonnet is down (or my exhaust drowns it out). I could use a 50th opinion, as my friends and car club can't figure it out, before I hand it over to Ford on Tuesday, as I don't want to get tricked by bad technicians (I'm pretty good at car engine stuff, but this just bewilders me). I think I remember it starting up in January, I do take 580mi road trips maybe 8 times a year (travelling to and from school). So far, it's been anywhere from 60 to 11 ambient temperature in the parking deck. I'm in Indiana.
It's relatively fast and.. well I'll just let you guys hear it, sorry for the bad lighting, it was cold. It seems to be from above the pistons below the manifold, but it's hard to tell.

It's difficult to tell from the audio quality but that could be injector noise which is often normal. Another possibility is the weight of the oil you're using. Of course, it could be a number of other things, too.

Well, I took it to the dealership, and I they informed me it was a canister purge valve, don't know what that is. But they replaced it. And yes, it was from the device as whenever he unplugged it, the noise completely disappeared.
