as the audio control module(ACM) is intergrated into the network with all the other modules, i dont think it is possible.

Call the people at Crutchfield and ask them that same question.

It can be done, but it requires wire cutting and splicing. Not that hard, but time consuming. I decided against it because I didn't want to hack the harness. BUT - if that's not a concern for ya go for it!

Don't forget you'll need a module to reconnect the steering wheel controls if you have them.

Keep searching. You do NOT need to hack your wire harness to install an aftermarket headunit. There are other Mustang forums out there that are much more informative on this subject.

I went with the Raxiom Navi because I wanted navigation and to retain Sync. I did add an amp and eq to my system to make it sound better. Didn't have to hack the wire harness either for the amp/eq install. I used the Pac-Audio AOEM-FRD24( http://www.pac-audio.com/productDeta...&CategoryID=28 )to make it happen. I also ran new speaker wires to each speakers. It was time consuming but well worth it on my opinion.
