Default needed to beat buds infiniti g35 skyline....

Ive raced him twice and lost. Ive researched his car and it is as he says 280 HP. What will I need on top of my current mods to easily beat him? Current mods are Bassani headers, Bassani X pipe and maganapacks exhaust system, Accufab Intake Plenum
Accufab 70mm Throttlebody and Densecharger CAI . What other bolt ons should I need to show him the mustang owns his G35 skyline.

Have you thought about gears? What year is your car?

02 gt. yea I plan on gears in the near future...3.73s, because in the far future i plan on S/C'ing but that is out of the question right now. Im not sure that upgraded gears is what its going to take, but I may be wrong.

really you lost? i thought they were quick but not as fast as a 99+ GT especially with the mods you have. I'm preety sure they have no top end power. You could get underdrive pullies, drag radials, and you still can get gears like already stated.

You must have an automatic if you lost to him. Bump up your timing to 14* with the steeda timing adjuster and at the same time put on the steeda pullies to. Those two parts will get you around 15 hp and will be around $280. Gears would be the best though but that will run you like $500 if can't do the install yourself. How much did you lose by? Don't those run 14.2 stock?

No my car is manual. Im not sure what the skyline runs the 1/4 in but i rode in his car and it has a ton of pull to it as its switching gears. I had him off the line, (1st gear?, maybe thats the problem?) Ive been told you get more boost if you start in 2nd gear. I would say he beat me by about 1 car length. I liek 1BAD GTs plan for the timeing and pullies with the gears. Maybe my stock gears is all thats holding me back? I will have to pick up my 3.73s and do the install myself. Any suggestions for good gear manufacturers and best price? Best ive seen is about 150.00$. Maybe part of the problem was I spun my tires quite a bit off the line and fish tailed a bit, the weather here is cold and the ground is damp from the snow we have been getting.

Anyone have links for steed underdrive pullys and a steeda timing adjuster? Once again looking for best price. These mods should produce about 15 more HP??
