Default ?'s on future 351W build

Future plans to build a 351W for a 'Boss tribute' fox body if you will. My only things for certain is i wanna use the new Boss 351w block by FRPP and for a manifold setup i wanna run a weber-style 8-pack (http://www.compperformancegroupstore...ct_Code=NG4009) thats the one i'm looking at. My question is would it be possible to get 500hp out of a 351w with no power adders and without stroking it? Any tips, ideas, insight is appreciated, thank you.

Something like that could be possible but you couldn`t drive it on the street, hell the nascar engines are only 355cuin and make 6-850hp, prolly wouldn`t be in your budget to do a 351 and make 500hp n/a! but anything is possible!

The head ports on those engines you can stick most of your fist into lol! and special intakes blah blah, small carbs lol!

some good compression and a set of 3000$ heads and a very choosy induction system and you could get close! better have a chunk of a savings account! almost anything is possible with enough dough!

Can someone tell me what the power is of a car that weighs 3250lbs and runs 10.74 @ 128 MPH? This is naturally aspirated.

BTW, to the OP:
500 is easy and can be done on an $50 F4TE block, no reason to spend $2500 on a BOSS 351 block and machine work there...

all it offers is 4 bolt mains for when you want to rev past 7000rpm...

if you want to drive this car in the street youre not gonna want the required valvetrain to rev that high and the maintenance that goes along with it methinks...

You better have deep pockets if you are going with a $6000 injection system.

I was trying to establish a point. That is why I asked the Horse Power Question.

Ok, 500HP at the flywheel is very easily possible. Its not 500 exactly but its close...

Here is R.Barns 358 he had

made 465-475hp on engine dyno w/ 1 3/4 longtubes and VicJr intake w/ 750 carb
it's now making about 370rwhp w/ TrickFlow EFI intake and installed in car with full accessories.

351W - bored .03 over ( 1994 true roller cam block )
forged pistons, stock rods, stock crank, ARP bolts and studs thru out
Ford Racing windage tray
AFR 185 heads @ 10.1 - 1 compression and upgraded 145# springs
CompCams XFI stroker roller cam 236HR-14 ( .579/.579 lift w/ 236/248 durration )
Engine was 0 decked and balanced to tight tolerances.
