Im going to look at a 351w complete, from a car with ~80k miles

It comes with the tranny ( i googled it, apparently the automatic tranny was a C6 )

He's askin $100 so i figured if its standard bore, no cracks, i might as well pick it up.

Is the auto tranny worth keeping? I think ive heard the C4's are more desirable?

Im probs just going to keep it for now, no future plans for motor or tranny.

Just curious on your thoughts. The 79 year isnt to desirable apparently.

I had one out of a 79 cougar, identical to the tbird. It was a c4 i used the engine in a bronco i had and the trans is still on the shelf..
As far as desirability well if your gonna use it as is its not a powerhouse... def a good starting point to build up though

I say go for it. It's a 351W for $100.

make sure its the windsor and not the 351M, if it has the C6 it could be the M motor
