Default Can you make a V6 sound like a GT?

Without spending a bunch of money, is it possible to get the blurble and growl of the GT in a V6?

In short....No. V8 sound is reserved for a V8. V6's sound ricey at high RPMs no matter what exhaust you use. Even mine can sound ricey at times.

Hmm, I usually drive my GT pretty conservatively, I like the way it sounds at low RPMs and idle, can I get that?

At low rpm and idle, you can make a V6 sound OK. but no matter what it will never sound like a V8. try listening to some audio clips on youtube of some different setups and see if you can find one you like. I like my pipes kit a lot. But if i ever change anything with it i will get the violator mufflers and swap out my street pros.

It's a completely impossibility, the v8 has a different firing order than the v6 and the v6 has this strange intake valve tuning and runner tuning which make all exhaust sounds horrible on it. The stock exhaust is actually amazing in terms of sound if you listen to the unmuffled engine. The Mustang v6 is the worst sounding engine I've heard in the world by far.

Tip of the Month, October: Do not buy the $730 Roush Exhaust which a Mangnaflow rep says costs to $117 make (polished, all ss), buy the $170 Roush Exhaust Tips estimated to cost $46 to make and weld them to another company's muffler. This also lets you choose how your car sounds.

There is one way: make a dvd of a v8 exhaust sound, and blast it out through speakers under the car, lol.
Seriously though, with the right combination, the best you can get is an OK sound, especially at certain rpms.

Not with the mustangs V6 even fire set-up...
You could always add 2 more cylinders and that V6
will start to sound like a V8...
No the Dodge odd fire 6 cylinder is another story...
Duals opens it up to V8 hemi sounding exhaust...
