So I'm headed to Hawaii in October and I'm hella stoked . I'll be there for at least three years and I was just wondering if anybody else lives there/is headed over there any time soon?

Why Hilo? I was just there for a week and loved it!

It was such a cool town! I could have stayed there forever! And that farmers market was like nothing else!

Were you visiting there?

I lived there for about 6 years. I attended the University there as well.

Well we were on vacation. We spent 2 weeks in Maui (can you say road to Hana? ), then 5 or 6 days in Hilo on the big island, then a few days somewhere near Kona, and then finally we spent 3 days in Honolulu before we went back home. That was the second time we have been to the islands. The first, we spent 3 days in Honolulu, then around 5 days in a less touristy part of Oahu, then around 2 weeks in a small beach condo in Kauai (and although Hilo is awesome, Kauai is my favorite island).

I actually did consider going to college there, but they didn't have the classes I was looking for, and it was a bit much, cost wise. Plus, my mom is terrified of being on a small island in the middle of the ocean for some reason (that is the reason we didn't stay even longer) and was not too happy when I suggested it. As it were, I am going to be going to NAU in Flagstaff next year, which I am happy with.
