RB,
I live 15 miles from a gas station, I today I was in town and filled up at a half tank. I never run it down, Fuel pumps are lubricated/cooled by gasoline, I seldom go below a quarter.

OK, next fillup I'll shoot the trip OD and the pump with a digital, Boy scout honor. I truly thought y'all got similar mileage......or maybe I'm the only one that drives easy. Well out where I live I only have cattle, sheep, mules and deer to race, and an occaisional old Chevy truck filled with rednecks. LOL! I think the mules are a better race!

Lol, sure you didnt swap gears and not calibrate the speedo? That'll inflate your MPG as well.. Not really getting it but your odometer would be off because your reading a faster speed then your actualy going at all times. [&:]

I believe ya, I normally only get about 18-22 mpg, just around town driving and 5 miles each way to work, but when I drove from Mass. to Maine, a trully almost all highway trip, I was getting 28-30mpg, both ways, I think these 4.6's are good efficient engines, I was suprised how good it did, but it was great only had to stop for gas once each way.
