Default starting probs

what's up guys, having some problems getting my 95 5L to start when it's warm...cranks forever before starting if either the car or the weather is warm. starts like a champ though when cold. thanx for the help.

I'd check your idle air control valve (it's mounted on the throttle bodies on 5.0s). They are notorious for sticking when temperatures change. If it gets stuck closed, you engine isn't getting any air. Have you tried stepping on the gas a little while cranking it? Sometimes that can get it unstuck. It's a 30 dollar part, and easy to install.

is the engine clean(no grease to hold in heat etc)and have you checked your fuel filter(should change frequently) and/or fuel pump presure?

i need to change my fuel filter.. the fuel pump is really starting to make a loud whinning noise...ouchh

what kind of pump r u using? i like the combo of a 190 lph with 24 lb injectors. i would say 30lb, but that would just be over kill

my combo that i would like to hopefully purchase soon is a 73mm mass air meter 70mm t-body 23#injetors with a 190 lph fuel pump... i want this combo badly..

The IAC valves go bad ALL the time. Mine stuck and made the car idle at like 3000 rpm. Cant hurt to check it but I dont see it being the problem.

Do you guys think its over kill to use a 190 intank pump AND an inline pump as well?
