A 99 Cobra with 4.10's shoudl easily spank a Z28 even if that was the only mod he had on it.

From the sites I've seen on the '99 Cobra, it runs 13.8-14.0 flat. A new LS1 can get into the 12's stock. YOU are wrong. You really have no idea how much slower that 281 is compared to the LS1.

Wow, I didn't know it was that slow[:'(]
But then again, that is what Mods are for. I wonder why they stoped making them them. To have that power bone stock??? Was it price and/or insurance?

I didn't think that they were that slow either. I just looked it up and the fast time posted for a stock cobra was 13.7. Man I didn't realize I was in 99-02 cobra territory with my GT and a catback.

If you've ever driven one you'd know. They ride rough and don't really have all the creature comforts. They sit really low. There is no room in the engine bay at all. The front nose is very long. Basically, it was built for one thing, performance. People today just don't value pure muscle like they used to. GM apparently didn't catch on to that. They're priced with the new GT's. I, personally, don't know why they didn't advertise their massive amounts of power they have. Every since '93 the f-body has put out tons more power than the Mustang, but the Mustang has outsold the f-body tenfold. Ford has sold tons and tons of v6 Mustangs. You see at least 3 per block here it seems.

There are about 10 v6 to every GT I see and like 10 GTs to every cobra I see. I don't really see many Camero sixers though.

Your odds aren't as bad as mine. I bet I can drive to school, roughly 15 miles there and back, and I can see at least 12 vSick Stangs. I left my 3:00 class the other day and actually seen 6 v6 and 1 96-98 GT just by pulling out of the smaller parking lot. Maybe one Cobra for every 80 other Mustangs I see. v6 Camaro's are bad here too, not too many Firebirds though.

RE: Question about my Launch ...
On campus I really only see v6 stangs and my friend has a 94 GT and a 69. One guy on campus has a beast of a cobra though, I haven't seen him around since last semester though. I saw a Z28 with some ugly *** exhaust on it on thursday when I left, I will bring a camera just in case i see it again...it made me want to cry =(
