Let's see, if you are in drive and your hitting the rev limiter, what speed are you going? 150-ish!

a mustang auto is unlike any other auto i know then, if you put it 2 it starts in 2nd?? i thought that was so it doesn't go past 2nd.....oh well i never liked auto anyway

The biggest thing that can mess up your car when burning out is how you end it.. basically the last thing you want to do is just let off the gas suddenly with a 5 spd, this puts huge shock down the driveline in the opposite direction that it is designed to absorb force.. it will loosen up the driveline and over time will noticeably affect it. With an auto it's not as bad becuae you have a torque converter to absorb the shock.

The best way to end a burnout is to launch out of it and go right into a normal 1-2 shift... or powershift for added fun.

Guys............ I have a Bullitt, there is no Manual Bullitt, Maybe it was rev'd higher than 5400, but it definately hit something that made the engine hit a peak point. Only happened once but it kinda scared me, as far as i knew the Bullitts had no limters on it, Am I wrong????

I thought the video ****ing rocked...except for nailing the curb with his rear wheel, he had complete control over the thing. Pretty sweet to me.

You replied to my post but I never mentioned rev limiter-have never hit it in mine-I just cut of tl let off brakes around 1500 floor it and smile.Lights em up pretty good for an auto vert.
