Default Advanced timing fuel question

When i purchase my diablo tuner and i want to put advanced timing on, can i put higher octane in my tank with a low octane fuel at first, or should i drive until i run outa unleaded normal octance before i add 91 or 93?

well to get the best result run as low as you can with what you have left, and fill up with premium and a few bottles of octane boost at first and you should be set

when i first raised my timing with the tuner... i ran it down to bout 15 miles past the low fuel light... filled up with 93 octane and only got a little detonation for the first 50 miles at WOT....but that stopped and now runs great

This is something good to be answered from you guys with the diablosport. I have a diablosport but I've never advanced my timing because I don't know where to stop. I've seen various articles explaining how to advance timing, but the diablosport is a little different. With the mods I have it was suggested to advance my timing to about 3-4 degrees above the stock 10 degrees. However the diablosport doesn't increase in increments of degrees. I haven't played with my tuner in a while, but from what I remember it increased in percentages or something. My question is....+1 percent = how many actual degrees???
