well difference is the mach 1 was a limited production meaning they retain stronger value than a gt. 260hp vs. 305 hp. mach 1.

What is a Mach 1? I've seen people posting about them and I've seen some w/ 'Mach 1' decals but whats so specail about them? They look just like a GT.. How are they different than a GT or Cobra of the same year?

Lol, you drive a Cobra and you don't even know what a Mach 1 is. Stock for stock, it's faster than your car.

A mach 1 is a limited edition production car. She has a alum block/head 32V DOHC 4.6L N/A Motor. Ford rated the Mach 1 at 305 bhp, but this is horribly underrated. Another advantage, is the DOHC responds to mods MUCH more efficiently, The same mods on a 2V can't possibly compare to the mods on a 4V. The Mach also has the retro interior (and an optional 18G int. upgrade package), Bullitt style C-pillers, Factory Chinstrap, and of course, the best part.... The Shaker.

So Ultimately, We all know cars depreciate in value. But keep in mind, they made somewhere near 100,000 GT's over 2 years (maybe I'm underestimating?) And only made some where around 18,000 Mach 1's in 03-04. :P

Get the Mach, you wont regret it :-p

Some other facts:
Machs don't come as verts,
Auto Machs don't have the extra RPMs since they have a GT crank. The Manuals have a forged cobra crank and thus an 8-bolt flywheel.

Mach has stronger rear axels which is nice if you boost it and run slicks($225).
Because of the axels it needs a 31 spline version of the GT differential ($219).
Mach has a better springs, dampers, and sway bars ($399).
Mach has slightly steeper gears ($149).
I'm not sure if Machs have an aluminum driveshaft or a stronger clutch than a GT.
