Default what to do

hey everypne im new to this fourm..... i have a question i have a 2001 SVT cobra and i have long tubbed headers for them with a o/r h pipe and i was wondering if i should put them on now or wait till i have enough money to put them on and get a tune? thanks Alex

You really don't need a tune for exhaust. Don't get me wrong, a tune can only help, but definitely not necessary. You can put it all on and then get a tune down the road if you really want one.

Doesn't the headers reduce performance unless you have a tune? Also if you're going to get a dyno tune, wait until you've got ALL your mods done until you get it. If you spend the money on a handheld tuner then you can just make adjustments as you go.

Headers won't reduce power without a tune. You will pick up some, but the car may go a bit lean/rich so you won't pick up quite as much.


I agree, get to a stopping point and then get a tune.
