Yes Nanaki did a test... i forget the results but the MAC plenum produced the same or more hp then the accufab plenum. Only difference is BLING BLING. of course his car is blown so results will very.

75mm BBK TB and C&L Plenum. No problems.

no problems when i installed my BBK 75MM & C&L plenum , however i installed a diablo program at the same time. if you are going to change these things you will waunt to reprogram or you may have problems(or at least thats what i have read ) you may run to rich or lean or maybe ideling problems.

rw98...
Did you just use the programs on the Diablo tuner, or did you take it to a performance/dyno shop and have them do a custom tune with it?
What programs do you get with the Diablo?

I never said you would have a problem if you didn't change your MAF, I said you would notice much MORE of a difference if it was changed with those other components.
And no not only for FI set-up....A well tuned car is the cheapest HP available.
When I started to put bolt-ons on my 97 4.6L 2v.......I started with:
Ram Air............Custom fabricated costed me about $20
80mm Mass Air.........Bought on Ebay used for $46 (JET)
75mm T/B w/spacer..Bought on Ebay used for $125 Accufab
Upper intake Plenum.Bought on Ebay used for $64 Accufab
24LB injectors...........Bought at a trade show used for $45
Put in 1 step colder plugs.....Dealership $4.29 each
K&N Air filter...Auto Zone for $46.99
Also pulled off the heads and did a 3 Angle Valve Job (used new gaskets cost $46)
All of these cost me less than $425 and added 47HP. My Buddy does dyno work.. We put in on there and it made an extra 47hp
It's great to brag about being on a dyno many times and for FREE non-the-less. Well it cost me a six pack...$7.49 (Heineken)LOL

whats this about doing the MAF at the same time? isnt that only necessary if moving to an FI setup?
+1. I have never heard of anyone having any problems with not changing out their MAF after getting a new TB/plenum combo. I have Accufab 75mm TB and C&L plenum and have never had a problem, expcept for that great increase in throttle response that was cool.
