Stock bottom end + 9 psi = fine

Stock bottom end + 9 psi + nitrous = boom.

I have only seen one GT running nitrous and a blower (on a stock bottom end). I saw it in the video sections wasting a vette. Unfortunatly the end of the video was a undercar shot of a piston sticking thru the block.

if you get a blower you will never go back to nitrous again (at least on a street car).

Built engine means big bucks. Plus you will need to do heads/cams/intake etc on your NPI car. Its a long expensive road.

9 psi at the 10.5:1 comp ratio he'd have from the pi swap would be much more risky than running 9 on ours. As for if you need anything other than the kit, that depends on the kit and what you want to do with it. I'm sure KB will help guide you if need be.

if he is acutally gonna build the motor the compression ratio is a moot point

It is a TON of money to buld the engine and do a PI swap (or just work on your stock heads) and aftermarket cams and a PI intake.

Just a rough estimate,

3500 for a shortblock

1700 for good ported heads (less for stock PI ones)
550 for cams
200-300 for PI intake or 1300~ for an aftermarket one.

this is only a short list, there are alot of things that can add up REAL quick. Code has over 10k in his engine alone.

So essentially, new pistons, rods, crank shafts, heads, cams... What is a PI intake?

Soo ive been searching arround, would this be an adequate modification to accomodate the 9psi and possbly more with nitrous. Im planning on gettin the cams as well and since im rippping the blokc apart im gonna go all out and prolly get new pistons. I dunno about the crank shaft that seems a bit much...

heres the link... http://www.powerheads.com/headswap.html

its wont give me the blue thing soo jsut cpy and pst it.
