Why do I spend my life savings just to enter the race?
Anybody else in here tired of investing $300 here, $400 there, $250 over and over again and still can't even run with the stock Mach 1, Cobra, F-body's, Ricers??? The only thing I ever try to race anymore is other GT's. Somebody gimmie some ideas other than (spray it, or supercharge it). This is starting to get depressing!!!!!

Yeah but I do 99% of my racing on the street. I guess I'm just not as well off as others, can't afford a Supercharger, and I can't pull up beside somebody and say "Wait...let me open my bottle real quick". I know they make remote bottle openers, but when start thinking about all that crap you're getting into some big money. I guess I just expected more out of what I've done so far.

What are you dynoing? I am guessing 240 RWHP. You should make 260 or more with the LTs. And like I said in the other thread, camshafts and a good tune could net 290 easy.
I was putting away alot of cars with that setup, and I had a ****TY tune. It wasn't the fastest thing out there, but it would have taken at least a vette to put it away hard (so far as stock cars). And I didn't have an ideal gear for a n/a setup either.
I put my buddies 00 LS1 away pretty hard from a stop with that setup, and I beat him from a roll too. What more do you want out of boltons from a stock engined 281 ?

This is the 2nd post you've made about this. Making several posts whining about your vehicle isn't going to make it faster.
If you don't like the car, sell it. Otherwise, save up for a supercharger if you want to be king of the road all the time.

Cams, nitrous, or S/C = $1000 - $5000. Investing that much money just to have a stock Mach or cobra (maybe) by a car length or two seems a little extreme don't ya think??

No, it's not extreme at all. $1000-$5000 is about the price difference between a Mach 1 and a GT, and way less depending on the year of your GT. Compared to a Cobra, it's a baragain.
