actually they can't deploy me as long as I stay in college or high school. I plan on going to West Point next year anyways so I don't have to worry about getting deployed for at least another 6 years and I am still getting paid 30K a year so they can send me to college.

I don't know if the rules differ but I know each guard is funded and run by the state. They do have to follow some guide lines and they do recieve some funding from the federal government but they are under the command of the state governor.
