what the most horsepower you can get out of a 4.6 with the number of superchargers available on the market today and also a friend of mine told me that there are turbochargers available for the 4.6

600 HP out of a supercharger only? I might be misinterpreting something, or maybe I am wrong on this issue, but I don't see that happening from only a supercharger or turbo! Huckleberry, you have 500 HP on the motor? Just curious, but what all mods do you have? Please don't misunderstand, I'm not questioning anybody, but thatseems a little high, for I drag race and know a bit about HP gains. But I don't know, I mean,it's very possible that I just don't know my stuff when it comes to this, and I need some help on it. I'm just curious, don't wanna make anybody mad.Maybe I've just been in GM too long and I forgot what real FORD POWER is!!! lol

Dude, if you can spend a couple more hours hooking up a turbo for the added power and horses/torque, why not?
The added work is hardly jack squat, especially in the light of what you gain from doing a turbo instead of a supercharger. If you have a motor that makes 600 horses with a blower and switch to a turbo, that's an easy 100~150 horse gain JUST BY EFFECIANCY. Why not do it!?!?!?
That low end crap is a myth. Size your turbo right and you'll have full boost before 3 grand.
