1. you can buy a kit so that the ram air still works, we were just talking about it on the 6 page MACH ! SUPERCHARGER
2. Idk what alot of boost would be, but i personally think that 17psi is alot of boost for that car.
mach 1s have 310hp, the NEW gt has 300. best mustang besides the cobra. if your talking about the "new" ones i couldnt tell you much about them, except a 5.4l!

Me and my brother Twig have been look'n at picks all night of these mach 1's. They are a sharp car, I like the way they look more then the 05-06's. Since it is already slightly built what would you recamend I do to enhance the performance? Better exhaust? is it even worth changing out hte stock 3.55 gears? Keep the ram air I take it, just put in a K&N filter. what else could I do? Think it needs a SCT tune thing?

stock exghust is amazing, gears are fine for now, UD pullys, tuner, NO SUSPENSION WORK< WASTE OF MONEY, i am stock and i run 10's, c&L intake, kn filter then after that get a blower, the KB seem to give the most bang/buck.

The forged crank is nice, but the pistons/rods are not going to last at much over 440~ WHP, just like a GT bottom end.
I have seen plenty of stock mach 1 engine cars with blowers on them though, and they all made at least 400 WHP, so I don't think it is a problem (the compression ratio).
