3rd gear question

3rd gear question
well tonight i went to the track and my car felt real sluggish in 3rd gear. when id shift from first to second the rpms would stay higher than 4k, but when i would shift into 3rd the rpms would go down to 3500. out of my 5 races i won 3. the other 2 that i lost i should of won because i was ahead first and second but they caught me in 3rd. i think i need a dyno tune because i think my a/f ratio drops in third. what do you guys think??? car took forever to regain the rpms. i have a predator tuner, would that have anything to do with it???

Either you are imagining it, or you are not shifitng fast enough. You mean after you let the clutch out the engine is at 3500 RPM? Not sure what your talking about here...;.

when i shift from first to second my rpms dont drop below 4k rpms after i let off the clutch but when i shift from second to third and let the clutch out my rpms drop to 3500. i think its time for some 4.10's.

my car pulled like a mother in first and second and it just seemed like i hit a stump when i went into third. oh well maybe im just imagineing things, the best part about tonight is that i beat a ls1 camaro

I know my car drives like hell through 1st and 2nd and then hit 3rd and it's like wtf
that could just be the NPI thing
but it does it in the same way you describe

yea i know he should of beat me. everyone at the track ran like crap. i think its because it was so hot and humid out (gotta love florida). i saw 4 ls1 camaros running tonight and the best run i saw was a 13.8. everymustang out there was running 14.5 or higher. i saw a couple 99-04 gt's running low 15's, and a 98 cobra ran at 14.5, that was his best. so i guess i didnt do too bad. i got 5 runs in and all were 14.1. with better track conditions ill be in the 13's. oh yea i was trapping 99.50-100+ all night
