Default Question for sn V8 owners

Since I already have the edge body style(my V6) I decided my V8 would be a 96-98...Question is would it be better to PI swap the SN or Build the non PI GT...Also why is a PI swapped GT faster than an edge, and why are they not as good for boost

id say do the pi swap. the reason its rough to run boost on a pi swapped engine is because when you do the pi swap it changes the compression of the motor to like 10.1:1 or something and high compression + boost = blown motor.

10.5:1, the same reason they're faster than new edge v8s.

Just get a PI engine and save yourself the trouble.

Its just a pet peeve of mine but just to inform you "ByPopularDemand", the SN style includes new edge mustangs. They are one and the same. A new edge mustang is really a New Edge SN.

YOU CAN RUN BOOST BUT IT MUST BE LOW LIKE SOME STOCK LS1'S DO IT PROBALLY WOULDN'T BE WORTH IT. I WOULD SAY IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON BOOST GO WITH A PI ENGINE AND IF N/A GO WITH A NONE PI ENGINE WITH THE SWAP. THAT IS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BUILD YOUR OWN "CUSTOM" ENGINE.

All in all, how much with the install of a shop would it be to do a PI swap? I know this topic and question has been brought up several times lol just want a quick answer. Also, I was pondering doing aftermarket cams on my stock npi heads. WOuld I get decent gains for the money?
