Default Can Anyone help me ??

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I just bought a 2000 Black GT Mustang. It is a manual transmission. I can drive it fine but, when I race someone it has too much torque in first gear and I have trouble getting off the line without spinning my tires. I have raced a z28 Camaro and he got the jump on the start because I was burning out, but I still caught up and won. Any tips on this would help me a lot. thanks

Sticky tires and practice your launch.Practice feathering the clutch,if you just dump the clutch at higher RPM's a burn out is what you are going to get.

When you buy your next set of tires, buy a little bit wider tire. Also, like sean said, ride that clutch right off the line, and you should get a good jump. I'm hoping you're not just dumping the clutch, cuz that would definitely be your problem right there. Anyways, nice kill on that camaro!

I never thought I'd see the day where a guy that owned a Z06 said nice kill on a Camaro. It is nice to see someone who is not stuck on that brand loyal BS.

LOL! See, I'm such a Ford man, that I didn't even really notice that! But yeah, believe it or not, I'm getting rid of the Vette for a mustang. It's not just the car, I also can't afford these payments anymore. But yeah, you are right about one thing, there are a lot of people out there that are so stuck on their brand it's so rediculous! Ford does come first to me in cars, but even still, I'm not going to knock anyones choice in what they desire.
