well a few of my friends got the tri-ax also and never had a prob....so mybee a seal in the shifter has failed...but make sure you check your clutch cable(if stock adjust the quadrant) you have to pull up on the clutch pedal all the way the press all the way down..... i had a prob getting into third b4 i changed to tri-ax and it ended up being my cable was strecthed out replaced with steeda adjustable cable, qaudrant and firewall adjuster (mustangtuning.com) has kit for 129.00 i bleave

I can race pretty well with my stock shifter... so hopefully ugprading will make that better

do you have the stock cable and quadrant... cuz when i adjusted the stock it wasnt as bad but still happened the i replaced with full steeda set up been 9 months no problems one the stock adjuster its plastic so i dont trust it on mine it kept slipping

as far as i know its stock...i will definately look into that though...it would be nice to fix the prob.

if its plastic two piece quadrant it stock i would deffinitally go with the steeda kit get the adjustable cable, the quadrant and firewall adjuster.... got investment can really control you clutch with it mustangtuning.com is were i got mine for about 129.00

I'm not a fan of my tri-ax as well. 3rd seems harder to get into when the car is hot.
