Default rebuilding bottom end

When I go to rebuild my engine in a year or so will I just need a piston and rod kit from vt or would you suggest getting a whole new longblock or shortblock?
Thanks

Default RE: rebuilding bottom end

depends, see if the block is good. if it's good, re use it. you will need pistons, rods, and a crank if you wanna do it right

BTW, I'm doin that eventually too!
