Tint question
I just moved to atlanta from michigan and wow the sun beats down here. I was thinking of tinting my windows. I don't want anything too dark, but something that looks good and protects the interior. I was thinking 25% back 3 windows and 35% or 40% up front. How much of a difference (if there is much of one) is this compared to 20% all around, had it on my last car and it was a little dark for me.
what did you guys do for the dot matix on the back window? cause i'm assuming the tint wouldn't stick too well there
thanks

RE: Tint question
I got mine like this back window 5%, 1/4 windows 18%, and 35% on the sides. I like it except backing up at night sux, I gotta stick my head out the window cant see anything. But I think if you went 40% on all it would look clean, you wont get pulled over for it, and its not too dark so you can see out of it.

RE: Tint question
yea i want to be able to see out the back at night still. 20% was still a little tricky backing up. maybe 30% back window 35% 1/4 and 40% on passanger(i think that might be what i do)

RE: Tint question
I live in Atlanta --- Duluth and I know a guy here named Sundown Walker.... no B/S. That's his real name and he runs a Tint / Detail shop here in Duluth and is awesome. I've had my tint for 6 years and absolutely the best workmanship I've seen. It's been so long I can't even remember but I think 30% and cost around $180.00 full window and touch painting for the rear upper window section. PM me and I can get the number for you. The paint over on the back window is the deal.

RE: Tint question
I'd say go 35 on the back and 1/4's and 35 up front. It's a little lighter than the 20% you had previously, but you can still see out quite well at night. But.... if you wanna be like the cool kids, just get 5% all around like me! Why do you need to see behind you anyway??? J/K my **** is dark, but I love it. No sun fade and inside temps stay low. I cruise here in Orlando with my AC on the lowest setting and I get cold when my windows are up.

RE: Tint question
Well I already scheduled an appointment for wed at TNT tinting specialists for $169 and a lifetime gurantee. Hopefully they a good job. I don't know if anyone's heard of them

RE: Tint question
that's not a bad price either.. I got all mine tinted and the strip on the top of the windshield for $150. Most places can handle that dot matrix without any problems. I wouldn't worry about it.
