I've got an '02 GT and when I shut her off it sounds like it's hissing almost. It's after the motor has stopped. Lasts about 2 seconds or so. I bought the car used and has done it since day one, so I wasn't sure if it's a normal thing. It does have a BBK CAI if that makes a difference.

Is the air conditioning or other environmental control running when you shut the car off? That could be it...

If youv'e changed to a aftermarket intake this could also give you this abnormal sound upon shot off.

I hear the CAI let out a hissing sound all the time on shut off... takes about 2 seconds..
