open the rad cap...turn your heater on full blast and hold the revs at like 3-4k until it warms up and tstat opens and everything circulates...fill as needed. I watched my friend who is a Ford Tech do it a few times so i've always did it like that also.

When he told you to burp it, he was right, could have saved you some time, it is very simple, you remove the radiator cap, grasp the lower radiator hose and squeeze it, then do the same with the upper hose, 90% of the time, you will "burp" air pockets out of the motor by doing this. It doesnt always work, but when it does, it saves a lot of time and effort, good luck
