Default 2 quickie questions

One:Is there a book out there that perhaps gives the in's and outs of working with our cars (2002 gt), and perhaps some specs and How-to's. I know they make these manuals for older stangs.

Two: What type of gas do you guys fill up with? 87, 89, or 93. I've heard 93 but i heard we can use 89...

What do YOU reccomend?

Thanks !

to answer question number one, i know pep-boys has the haynes manual for the late model stangs... thats the only "book" out there that i know of.

answer to question two, it really doesn't matter until you have modded the hell out of your car and it requires higher octane. like mine, i have higher timming with the tune i have and i can only run 93, no octane higher or lower. stock or near stock stangs can run on all three.

i think they have manuals for are cars already . just do a search on the net u will find something im gonna need one too. and for octane it depends on your mods. if u are stock use what your manual tells u to. i think its 87 or 89. but if u change your timming or get a chip or other modifications might requier a higher grade. so be sure when u do mods to your car u find out wich grade u will need to use.

chapters/indigo has a couple of books on tuning late model stangs.

according to the owners manual, GTs are fine on any fuel but they want premium in the Mach.

Here are some books I have:
Mustang Performance Handbook - William R. Mathis - This is mainly a 5.0L book
Mustang Performance Engine Tuning - MM&FF - This talks about both 4.6 and 5.0's. This is basically a book with mods from past issues (I guess) as well as some additional information.
How to Build Max-Performance 4.6-Liter Ford Engines - Sean Hyland - This book breaks the car down into about a dozen sections, describes various 2V and 4V components of the system, how sturdy the system is stock, some do's and don'ts, etc. There is a section in the back of the book that contains some build-up packages (not instructions, just package description) There is also a 2001 Cobra build-up description and a spec section.

I would recommend the second two for sure for the late model Mustang.
