An iron 4.6 block weighs 130ish lbs or so, and the aluminum is in the 80ish range - Im pretty sure this is right - if not its real close.
50lb diff, damn thats pretty good. get an alum block, and tubular k member....that would be a great way to drop 100lbs for anyone looking to do so

I think we all are looking to do so. Imagine that with some coilovers from maximum m. sports. I hate it when it doesn't let me type that.

I want to get my whole car done by m a x i m u m m o t o r s p o r t s. My buddy has everything done to his suspension from them except the k-member and his car handles like a frinkin ferrari. Plus my two buddies that work there installed it all. That is why I will always have a canyon/drag car. Best of both worlds.

yeah def man...my next stang will have front and rear coil overs, front tubular k member, tubular a arms, kenny brown extreme matrix subframe kit. steeda adjustable alum lower control arms, adjustable alum uppers, and steeda bump steer kit. im hoping to have one bad *** track car as well as straight line performance

Do you know what is funny. I started that thread before you wrote back on this one. LoL Oh well, We talked about the conversion enough, not worth it till the stock blows up, and you get an aluminum 4 valve motor with tranny for a really, really good deal.
