I think slicks are the route you need to take, Mitch. Once you start bottle feeding the bucket, you'll pretty much need them anyway. You only have to use them at the track and drive on the DRs.
How much will the pump free up, anyway?
Your suspension is pretty much done and there's not much more to get from the motor. Have you replaced the radiator with an aluminum one? That would shed a few more pounds I'd think.

Oops, I missed the MT ETs.
I don't know that there is much more to do after the pump swap and still keep the streets. If this doesn't do it, what's the next step?
