Default Intake Cracked Help

I had thought there was a recall for this problem, I was right! I don't see why you even bother trying to fix it. Just give in and buy a new one or try to get it replaced. <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley1.gif border="0">

The recall is for 96 &amp; 97 only. The 98 has the same intake but wasn't covered. I have the letter if you want to read it or you can call Ford and ask. All they need is your VIN and they'll be able to say whether it's covered or not. I don't know anyone who has a 98 that was covered though.

Yeah I took in my old 97 Gt to the ford dealer and they checked the intake for any leaks and possible defects. All due to the recall.

I think if you are modifying your car for more performance then you might as well bite the bullet and buy the high flow intake. Sure it costs more, but what's the point of replacing some parts with OEM while upgrading everything else around it. Go for the flow!

I always say "When something breaks replace it with a performance version, it will be more rewarding!"
