Default stock exhaust removal

Most likely ordering magnapacks in the next few days...Anyways I just wanted to make sure I knew what I am about to get myself into when I install it.

For removing the stock exhaust do I just saw the stock catback off where it meets the rear axel (before the muffler i assume?) and unbolt it from the hpipe. Is that basically all there is to it?

Thanks for help

yes, that's basically it or you can drop the axle if you don't want to cut the stock one up, it's pretty easy

Yes, that is what you do. you can cut the exhaust wherever it comes off easiest for you. You also have to unbolt your exhaust hangers from the car (at least with my SLP catback) and replace them with the new hangers. Make sure you put the hangers on the exhaust BEFORE you bolt them to the car. It makes it much easier.

could anyone with magnapacks confirm if they needed to unbolt the hangers?

to drop the axle just jack it up and unbolt the shocks and slowly lower it.

i doesn't really make a difference what catback you have, unbolting the hangers makes it MUCH easier

Its simple. You just unbolt two 10mm or so bolts on each one. Even if you dont have to put new one's on removing the stock hangers and putting them on your new system will make installation a lot easier.

right, it's next to imposible to get the exhaust off the stock hangers while they're bolted to the car so unbolt them and transfer to the new exhaust
