i pay 1600/yr on my GT. the insurance on a v6 for me would have been 1800/yr. call up your agent and check it out, you'd be surprised what kind of rate you can get. i just had to go pick up a 'kit' with a video and what not and take notes on some video. send that back and it's 1600/yr.

hey for those of you guys that store your mustang gts in the winter, how much does your insurance drop to. rite now i'm paying 530 every six months. I'm 18 w/ a totally clean record so that helps. I am going to be storing my stang along w/ my Model A pickup (125 bucks a year insurance). I just bought a bronco w/ a plow and my insurance is $1500 a year for all 3 of my vehicles and it all comes outta my pocket. I want to store the stang but i need to get an idea of what the rates on it come down to.

Yea I remember paying $4400 a year one year for insurance!!! Good thing I got older and started to fall into a "very low rist" catagory. I now pay $900 for full coverage on all three cars!

I have this dream of dropping a cobra engine in my 'vert and pissing everyone off that thinks I'm driving a "slow" Mustang. The other benefit of that is I'll pay the insurance for a 225hp car vs. 300+hp car!! That's what's really driving me to keep my car rather than "upgrade".
