Default Anyone using the gas strut hood lifts

Just as the title says. I want a set for the bucket and want to get a set for the Mrs for Christmas. These are the ones I am looking at.

So far I've only seen one Mustang with these...they worked great and are original. I might throw a set on my car eventually, after I make her a little less slow.

I recently buyed struts for my hood, but I buyed the ones from MRT. No drilling required.

I am a little sceptic into drilling the hood and then fasten the brackets with rivets, since the hood is not metal the rivets might upon time tear up the drilled hole.

The MRT ones just bolt on into the original bolts which holds the hood.

Just my 2 cents =)

I have some as well. If you do it right, you'll never have any problems. I've had mine on for 2 years now and never have had any problems. Simple install. I am not sure how they'll work with an aftermarket hood though. You might check the area where the hood mounting brackets go, to make sure you have the same clearance and or space to mount.

Mine are redline tuning also, which I bought off ebay. Also you'll have different bracket mounts for different years. so get your model year only. Also remember to double check the mounting area since you have an aftermarket hood. Unless they're not going on your silver car.
