Changing Spark Plugs
I'm changing the stock platinum plugs on my 02 GT (12k miles). I'm going with NGKV-Power TR-55 copper Plugs. This is my first time to do this on my stang so I'm looking for any advice anyone can give me. I'll make sure to use anti-seize compound. The plug manufacturer recommends torquing the plugs ~12ft/lbs. But what about the bolts that hold the fuel rails on? What should these be torqued to? Like I said, ANY advice or tips would begreatlyappreciated. <edited><editID>MineralGreyGT02</editID><editDate>37827.6060763889</editDate></edited>

Ok, so I'm done with the plug change. My car runs much better now. One thing I noticed is that the springs inside the plug boots don't fit tightly around the tip of the plugs. I guess it's normal because it would be hard to press the boot down hard on the plug to make the spring snap on the tip of the plug.

It seemed to run plenty better. It starts faster, idles smoother,etc... I'm not sure if it's because the plugs are fresh or because I got rid of that platinum crap. Platinum plugs are supposed to last longer under normal driving conditions but good copper plugs perform better under hard driving (imo).</P>
I also made a few other minor mods. Instead of a cold air kit I got a Tri-Ax shifter w/**** and a K&N filter. All together my car is doing nicely. I've detailed the hell out of it and I'm loving every minute of it. Next is the exhaust. I wanna do headers and the works...</P>
