96 4.6l stang vs 1.8t GTI
Hi i have a 96 4.6L v8 mustang, stock 5 spd, and my friendhas a 2003 4 banger1.8T GTI stock 6 spd, and we were wondering who would win in a race, i have had a bunch of my friends tell me that ill whoop him, but then their are few that say that hes gonna smoke me, if we raced who would win

I have ran the 1.8T several times because my friend always wants to go. All I can say is bet some money that you will win if he is stock because you will bury him from a roll and completly destroy him from a roll. It got to the point to where I would tell him to go and wait till I hear his turbo spool up at a 30mph roll before I hit the gas and I would still KILL him. Thats in my car though... just thinking about it and how slow his is I would still say you would whip him pretty well.

Not to argue or to disagree with you but all the SRT4's at my track cant get out f the 15's. After running like three of them I couldnt see what the big deal was about them.

i test drove a gti before i got my mustang and i felt like i was driving a golf cart... BUT i am pretty sure that there is a chip that they make for those gtis that gives them about 40hp, i have a couple of boys with modded gtis and they arent jokes, you might eat this guy for lunch but there are some quick ones out there.

you guys are fogeting that he is driving a 96 gt, I've seen bone stock 1.8t gti's running lowww-15.0's. so if he has any work done to that its gonna be fairly quick. what are the mods on your gt??
