Default Sorry for my Ignorace...

I am a new car enthusiest tyring to learn everything....I just recently got my beloved GT, and want to know...I think I am eventually going to buy a Cold air intake... But in the mean time would it be pointless for me to buy a K&N air filter if I am going to get a Cold air? Or are they seperate things... I am sorry if that is a lame question but I dont have a clue that is why I am asking so I can learn, I come to the forums for knowledge, so please no flaming....Thanks in advance

You wont really gain anything from a CAI. Just a K&N filter will be just fine. Unless you want the "bling bling" lookfrom a CAI.

No, I have this. And it didn`t make a difference. The K&N filters are really good though, they last the life of the car.

you could take off the air silencer box for some minimal gains, and while you do that you might as well throw a k & n filter on there.

So should I just screw the CIA and get the K&N with an air silence remove? Does CIA's make your engine any cooler?

+1

At your power level, stock is just fine. If you decide to get a CAI, the best one is from JLT. I rcommend the model that moves the MAF into the fenderwell
