clutch gone bad???

Default clutch gone bad???

alright in the past couple of days my clutch has been acting funny and last night when i was about to leave from work. i start up my car and i here a loud wining noise but when i push in the clutch it stops i let it back out and the noise is back. it sounds like a metal on metal grinding but when i drive everything seems fine.. except thers a slite wining noise but its not constant.. itll wine....stop....wine.....stop....wine.... i asked my dad and my friend and they dont know whats goin on it still shifts fine tho

Your throw out bearing is gonna take a poop soon. If your gonna replace it just do the entire clutch all at once.

yup.. the TOB is dying on you.
Its fine to drive it for a little while.. but get a new clutch ordered asap

Please do a pilot bearing too. I did't, and it turns out that that was probably the with mine. NowI have to do it all again, and it is not fun.

damn this sucks i jus payed alll my bills and im broke... looks like imma have to hustle at my valet job to get one... do yall know how much a clutch kit+install is??

yall think i could do it myself my uncle was a mechanic a while back but i have long tubes and dont i have to loosen them so i can drop my transmission to do the clutch job

Did your kit not come with a pilot bearing? Normaly they come with both the TOB and the pilot... only thing you need to order separate normaly is the transmission fluid and a cable adjuster if you want it.

Yeaa I got a 2000 so it should alll be goood... well it looks like imma have to see if I can get a rush order because I drove my car to work and now the noise is reealllll baaaad... what's the instakll cost on those things
