Default MGW shifter w/ Hurst T-Handle...

I have really enjoyed my MGW shifter, however like many other's I've found shifting into 1st and 5th, and downshifting from 3-2 second, to require a bit more effort than the other sequences.I bought a Classic Designs t-handle at a swap meet a while back and after getting it mounted on the MGW I found that it greatly improved the feel of the shifter--to the point that you can almost "think" it into gear.A Hurst handle (Hurst p/n 153-4900) caught my eye on eBay over the weekend, here's what it looks like polished and mounted on the MGW--I'll tell you, this is the rig for shifting your 3650!The handle comes in a satin finish, and includes a nice lock nut--I polished it and made a custom locking spacer. You could use 1/2" ID thinwal aluminum tubing from Ace hardware for the spacer and either use the Hurst lock nut and some O-rings to keep the spacer fromrattling, or adjust the spacer length 'til the handle is positioned as you like it.(I have also shortened the MGW **** stud by 5/8" to futher reduce the throw, with the t-handle it still shifts like a charm)...

Nice.

My MGW handle is more at a 9 o'clock & I never have any problems getting it into any gear. I think the T-handle keeps you from pulling it too far to the left...

That looks awesome man. I put the Roush shifter on mine seen here

http://www.stage3motorsports.com/product/SM02-5K025-JRA

no reaching for any gear and it really does add a lot to the interior of the car.

Exactly!!!! It makes the front cup holder completely useless in 2nd or 4th gear but it wasn't very useful in the first place. I just couldn't stand that stock one any longer.

hell... the stock shifter the cup holder is useless... if you have a tall cup on that stock shifter, your arm hits the cup everytime you shift.... i only use the rear cup holder... the front holds change and stuff...
