question on ford 8.8 differential

guys, is there a gasket that goes on the differential for the front cover? it looks to only be RTV'd on there, but was curious if from the factory they have a gasket and RTV?

I was told that ford used rtv not a gasket from the factory when i tried to order the gasket

when i changed out my diff lube i only had rtv on mine as well usually thats all they put on them

RTV works just fine, but if you want a gasket Oreillys has them. It might not be listed in there computer, but get one of the salesman to look it up in the book.
