Default rear end

whats the best rear end ratio to wave bye to ricers. I have a stock 2002 GT i will be adding a BBK cold air intake it says it adds up to 12 to 14 rwhp. what do yall think

4:10's all the way. i was racing this stock mustang only mod was the 4.10 gears and it pulled hard on me and from what i hear it dosent kill your topend that bad drops it to somthing like 130 or 140 but dont quote me on that

BBK lied, the CAI will only add 2-3 peak HP at most--don't bet the farm on that alone letting you beat out the 300+HP rice burners...

3.73's or 4.10's are the best to go with. Don't ever pay attention to gay magazine articles that claim 10-15rwhp from a cold air intake. The only time that would ever happen was if you had some sort of FI with tthe stock tb/plenum/ and intake.

Your maximum speed is not effected by 3.73s or 4.10s. In fact, you will probably pick up a bit if anything. You car cannot redline the engine in 5th gear stock, neither with the stock 3.27s or 4.10s.

not sure about autos but I actually gained a few MPH of topend speed with 4.10's (5 speed)
