There is 1 good thing about a tow hitch....

Its a cheap way to box the rear subframes!

The engine itself could haul about 8500lbs in a truck, its a stout engine.
Up the horsepower to 300hp/360ish tq then your looking at 10,500lbs in a 1/2 ton truck accord to Ford's new 5.4L powered F150

My 05' FX4 was rated at 10k before the axle and trans upgrade, I think after that point it set it to 12,500. I had the 5.4L

+1 dont install a hitch

I'm sure you can tow about 1,000 pounds..the body, engine and tires will surely take it. I am worried mostly about the trany. I know its not the best one out there and much less the auto...that has stop me to tow a couple of things. I think it looks pretty good seeing a stang towing like a boat or something. I remember I saw saw not long ago on spring break here in the island..real nice yellow, conv..lots of springbreakers turn around and look..that aint a common thing to seee lol

I actually really want either an F250 or 350 just to drive in winter. Now that i have a bike it kinda makes the stang useless.

The F-350 is probably a lot more than you'll need, to be honest...Ours is a Crew Cab Long Bed, so it's huge...you basically have to give up trying to park in single parking spots, and have to be pretty careful driving it. The 250 is probably as much as anyone will need, we actually got this truck with a gooseneck hitch to tow my sister's horses all over the country.

O haha. Well its a torquey a.ss V8 so i would imagine it could tow a decent amount... The frame and tires would give out before the engine would.
Hm...I must have a different v8 in mine
