New Bath... Now lost power

New Bath... Now lost power
Anyone have some insight.... would be greatly appreciated!
Just washed the car and waxed it... washed the engine with engine degreaser and a regular garden hose...
Drove it a few days later and was like a different car. When i pull out it makes creaking noises and seems like its missing a few horses. I used to be able to drop the clutch then floor it n tear up the tires but now it doesn't have the power. It also seems to putt when i'm under 2000rpms or over 3000rpms.
After drivin i checked under the hood, all wires seemed tight. Engine oil was down about a quart, filled it and it seemed to get a little better (or maybe thats just in my head). I just replaced my diff. fluid about two or three months ago, but it doesn't look like thats leaking... Replaced the clutch about 40K ago with (i believe) it was a king cobra clutch - garage ppl said it would hold w more hp than my stock.
Sound like I need a new clutch again?? It engages and disengage just the same as it has ever...
Side note.... don't really have any HP adders. Have a borla side exhaust--thats about it
Thanks for any ideas!

i just did this today to my engine but i used a citrus based degreaser not the petroleum based cleaner hope i dont get a problem. i also used a compressor to dry the engine, you should also use plastic vinyl and rubber protectant on all your hoses and stuff.

Not sure where you live, but consider pulling your hood off and letting your car sit in the hot sun if possible, any water will evaporate out of any crevices left over.
I don't believe this is a spark plug/boot issue, water is conductive and would not be a hindrance to the electric charge reaching the plug. Granted I'm no IEEE but I'm sure there is another issue.
